Exposure of
humans to electromagnetic waves is a still a highly topical issue. Many studies
have concerned exposure to plane waves with only one incidence. This paper
focuses on exposure to different plane waves. Incidences are part of three
planes (one horizontal and two tilted of 20°) and azimuth is described
with a step of 10°. Tilt of ±20° does not involve a
significant difference. Whole body exposure is varying periodically with
the azimuth as well as the highlighted surface of the model. A pretty good
correlation between the whole body exposure and the highlighted surface is
pointed out. Moreover, the highlighted surface of Visible Human (VH) can
be quite accurately assessed by considering VH as an ellipsoid. Concerning
the local exposure, no specific behavior has been pointed out but maximum
exposure is observed for frontal incidence. Different illuminations studied. From left to right, elevation of 20°, elevation of 0° and elevation of -20. For each elevation, the azimuthally step is 10°. |
